1st PSCB Lecture Caravan: Advances in Cell Biology (PSCB)
The Philippine Society for Cell Biology is inviting everyone to its first University Lecture Caravan with the theme "Advances on Cell Biology" to be held on July 9, 2016 at Centro Escolar University. Topics to be discussed include "Nucleus: The Control Center of the Cell", "RNAi: A Silencing Tool in Gene Functional Studies", "Microbes as Pollution Indicators" and "Plasmodium sp.: The Deadlies Parasite in History".
PSBMB and PSCB to hold international conferences this 2016
2016 is a good year for molecular life sciences in the Philippines with two professional societies namely the Philippine Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB) and Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB) scheduled to hold separate international conferences this year.

Summer Workshop on Cytotoxicity and Genotoxicity Assay (May 12-13, 2014 - PSCB)
PSCB will hold a Summer Workshop on Cytotoxicity and Genotoxicity Assay on May 12-13, 2014 at the Center for Natural Sciences and Environmental Research (CENSER), De La Salle University - Manila.
The assays that will be included in the workshop are the following: MTT Assay, TUNEL Assay, Comet Assay and others. The registration fee is PHP 5,000, for a two-day workshop which covers certificate, workshop/laboratory manuals, lunch and snacks.
Since the slot is limited only, we just need 40 participants. So hurry up and register now!

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We invite submission of abstract of posters for presentation. Papers must include the following: Title, Author's name(s) and Title, Company/ Affiliation, Abstract (not more that 300 words) and Contact information in Arial 11 points font size. Entries should be in MS Word format and must be submitted via e-mail to Dr. Ma. Luisa D. Enriquez (malu_e1030@yahoo.com) not later than September 15, 2013. Late manuscripts will not be accepted. The poster presentation committee will review the content of the papers. Authors of approved conference posters will be notified by email on or before October 07, 2013 and must preregister by October 10, 2013. Papers that are not preregistered will not be included in the souvenir program.

This year, PSCB's Third National Convention and Scientific Meeting has the theme: “Cell Biology at the Crossroads of Different Biological Disciplines” and aims to get together experts in different disciplines of cell biology to discuss research strategies to promote the field.

The conference will be held at
the College of Science Auditorium in UP Diliman. Registration fee is
PhP 2500 (pre-registered on or before 10 October 2012)/ PhP 3000
(On-site) for professionals, and PhP 1500 for students with ID.
