We invite submission of abstract of posters for presentation. Papers must include the following: Title, Author's name(s) and Title, Company/ Affiliation, Abstract (not more that 300 words) and Contact information in Arial 11 points font size. Entries should be in MS Word format and must be submitted via e-mail to Dr. Ma. Luisa D. Enriquez (malu_e1030@yahoo.com) not later than September 15, 2013. Late manuscripts will not be accepted. The poster presentation committee will review the content of the papers. Authors of approved conference posters will be notified by email on or before October 07, 2013 and must preregister by October 10, 2013. Papers that are not preregistered will not be included in the souvenir program.

Marine Biodiversity Conservation: Key for Sustaining Goods and Services (PAMS)

The Philippine Association of Marine Sciences (PAMS) carries the task of promoting growth of marine science in the country, and recognizes the important role of Philippine scientists in furthering knowledge on tropical marine ecosystems. In line with this goal, PAMS organizes the National Symposium in Marine Science every two years, alternately held in the three regions (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao) of the country.

This year we take PAMS to Tacloban.  The 12th PAMS Symposium will be held on October 24-26, 2013. This year’s theme is "Marine biodiversity conservation: Key for sustaining ecosystem goods and services."

Fostering Societal Transformations through Innovative Microbiology Education and Research (PSM)

The Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. will convene microbiology educators, scientists, researchers, and experts in their respective fields for its 42nd Annual Scientific Meeting and Convention in Tagaytay City on April 18-19, 2013 at the Summit Ridge Hotel. This year’s theme “FOSTERING SOCIETAL TRANSFORMATIONS THROUGH INNOVATIVE MICROBIOLOGY EDUCATION AND RESEARCH” highlights the vital role of novel pedagogies and research in changing our society to a better one. Experts from all over the world as well as Filipino microbiologist and educators have been invited to share how their researches are contributing towards societal transformations.
