2015 Philippine Biodiversity Symposium and Artwork Contest (BCSP, 24th National Convention)

The organizers of the Philippine Biodiversity Symposium are now accepting abstract submissions for paper and poster presentations and proposals for mini-symposia and workshop.  We are also holding a poster-making contest for original artwork to represent next year’s symposium.  The 1st circular and contest guidelines are available here

The 24th Philippine Biodiversity Symposium, with the theme “Island Biodiversity Conservation: Successes, Challenges and Future Directions”, is going to be held from the 14-17 April 2015 in Catarman, Northern Samar.

UEP logoThe University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) will host the 2015 Symposium. Established in 1918, UEP is the only comprehensive and the first state university in the Visayas: it offers the largest number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs and short-term courses and certificates among the higher education institutions in the Eastern Visayas region.


The 24th Philippine Biodiversity Symposium is being organized by the Biodiversity Symposium of the Philippines. BCSP is a professional organization of wildlife researchers, managers, scientists and conservationists. It has the aim to advance biodiversity research and conservation in the Philippines by facilitating communication and contributing to improved research and conservation capabilities of those working on Philippine biodiversity particularly members of the association, and to increase public awareness, appreciation, and understanding of Philippine biodiversity.
