The Philippine Association of Marine Sciences (PAMS) carries
the task of promoting growth of marine science in the country, and recognizes
the important role of Philippine scientists in furthering knowledge on tropical
marine ecosystems. In line with this goal, PAMS organizes the National
Symposium in Marine Science every two years, alternately held in the three
regions (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao) of the country.
This year we
take PAMS to Tacloban. The 12th PAMS Symposium will
be held on October 24-26, 2013. This year’s theme is "Marine biodiversity
conservation: Key for sustaining ecosystem goods and services."
